You can save children from deadly
malnutrition

Thousands of traumatised children in Gaza are facing the catastrophic threat of famine. Having barely survived the endless bombs raining down on their tents and deadly diseases that infest their water, children, many of them injured, are now at risk of starving to death.

Nearly the entire population of Gaza is surviving on almost nothing. Over 470,000 people are at critical risk of catastrophic famine. Children have already died from malnutrition. For those still holding on, time is running out.

Despite the restrictions on aid supplies into Gaza, UNICEF has remained on the ground reaching children every day with life-saving food and screening thousands of children for malnutrition.

But the situation is now worse than ever. Families need your help today.

5-month-old Sewar is severely malnourished and dangerously underweight. He and his mother are receiving help from UNICEF now, but thousands of more children are at risk.

You can help save children today from the threat of famine.

Scared and hungry children need help now

Children like, 9-year-old Noor, Yusuf, 5, and Alma, 2, are living in an endless nightmare.

With dirty, ragged clothes, they wake each morning hungry and exhausted in the flimsy tents they call home.

“We have nothing left,” Noor says. “Our three daily meals now depend on the rice we receive from charity kitchens. Sometimes water is provided by water trucks, but other times there is none.

“I feel lonely and scared inside the tent. I am afraid I won’t wake up the next morning.”

Tragically, the situation will now get worse for children like Noor. The food they receive will get less and less until there is nothing. Famine means painful starvation. And then death.

But with your support, UNICEF can reach these children today. You can help provide them with treatment for malnutrition and life-saving food before it’s too late.

Your support is crucial

Children in Gaza are exhausted, sick, and in the worst cases dying from hunger and disease.

With little food or shelter and a barely functioning healthcare system, thousands are struggling to survive. Thousands have already died and more will starve to death without urgent help.

Thanks to people like you, UNICEF has been on the ground in Gaza since the conflict began. Last year, our supporters helped provide:

  • Over 1.4 million people with life-saving food.
  • Over 500,000 malnutrition screenings, reaching all young children at
least once and more than 100,000 pregnant and breastfeeding
    women.
  • Safe water for 1.8 million people, including over 700,000 children, every month.

Despite these efforts, thousands more people need ongoing, urgent help. Right now, children in Gaza face suffering and death. They need your help now.

Families receive help at a UNICEF-supported nutrition clinic, where children are screened for malnutrition.
