Our phones ping non-stop with devastating and heartbreaking news.
War. Drought. Floods. Hunger. Every day there’s a new crisis for children around the world: Yemen, Gaza, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Syria, South Sudan, DRC, Haiti and so many more.
These children have nowhere to call home, no food to eat, no school to attend and no doctor to turn to when sick. This is the harsh reality of children in crisis. But then the news agenda shifts, the cameras stop rolling and the world starts to turn its attention elsewhere. And these children continue to stay in crisis.
So does UNICEF – to deliver lifesaving supplies, services and care that these children desperately need.
Eight-year-old Shaimaa lost her hand and foot when a neighbouring house was shelled in Gaza. But she hasn’t given up hope. She dreams of becoming a journalist.
Displaced since 2020, 14-year-old Albara’a has not given up on hope. Despite the challenges he dreams of becoming a pilot, believing that education is his path to a better future.
Adila once had to trek long distances daily to fetch water. Now, with a water tap just steps from her home, she has clean water for cooking, bathing, and drinking.
Crises come in many forms – wars, floods, hunger, drought, earthquakes – but they all have one thing in common: a devastating impact on children’s lives.
Your donations are the lifeline for our work. With your regular support we can respond immediately at the onset of a crisis, anywhere and everywhere. It will help provide urgent relief like medical aid, safe water, and life-saving food but also allow us to plan and deliver ongoing support to help rebuild shattered lives.
Plan ahead. Consistent funding means we can allocate resources more effectively, ensuring that children receive the help they need, month after month.
Ensure stability. A predictable income means we can maintain essential programmes without the fear of running out of funds.
Maximize impact. Knowing we will receive a certain amount each month allows us to set realistic goals and achieve them.
