Ahead of the G7 Summit taking place in Germany in June 2015, 54 young people representing 19 countries, will come together for an intensive eight day programme called J7 to discuss global challenges and contribute to solutions.
The J7 Summit is an opportunity for young people aged 14 to 18 to meet with other youth delegates from G7 countries and talk in-depth about issues such as fair trade, health, the fight against poverty and diseases, or womens’ and girls’ rights. In youth sessions as well as in meetings with experts you will debate the key issues of the G7 from your perspective, exchange various perspectives and opinions, find common ground, and present your joint positions publicly.
UNICEF Ireland will be represented by Youth Ambassador Emma Young, who will be writing about her experiences in the coming weeks.
