Child Rights Champions
Children and young people in Ireland are taking action to promote equality and inclusion. Through advocacy and activism, they are raising awareness about the discrimination and inequality faced by marginalised communities and advocating for change. They are fighting against gender stereotypes, promoting inclusive language, and advocating for equal access to education, healthcare, and other opportunities for all. UNICEF recognizes the importance of children’s activism in promoting gender equality, disability rights and the rights of the LGBTQ+ community, and supports and empowers young people to drive positive change in their communities and beyond.
