State Street and UNICEF launched a special partnership in 2011, with the aim of raising €1 million to support UNICEF’s Schools for Africa Programme in South Africa.
With State Street’s support, we aim to transform the lives of some of South Africa’s most vulnerable children over the next three years by training teachers, providing children with sporting and personal development opportunities and giving extra support to orphans and those most vulnerable.
For these children in particular, education is a real challenge, with genuine struggles affording transport to school, uniforms and food to eat.
Each year a Global Giving Campaign takes place throughout the month of October. Over the past two years State Streets offices in Ireland have taken part in UNICEF fundraising days that have raised thousands of euro for children.
State Street has made a commitment to support UNICEF’s Schools for Africa Programme, focusing on the Eastern Cape, one of South Africa’s poorest provinces.
Together we aim to transform the lives of one million of the Eastern Cape’s most vulnerable children by training teachers, providing children with sporting and personal development opportunities and giving extra support to orphans and those most vulnerable.
For these children in particular, education is a real challenge, with genuine struggles to afford transport to school, uniforms, and food to eat.
