UNICEF’s beautiful Unfairy Tales animations tell the heartbreaking stories of children who have had to flee conflict and poverty.
Mustafa goes for a walk, tells of one child’s incredible odyssey from Syria to safety.
Teenager Mustafa (13) has managed to survive a journey many thousands of others have not, but he is left wondering who will be his friend in this country where he does not speak the language.
Sadly, this story is not unusual.
At least 65 million children and young people globally are on the move – escaping conflict, poverty and extreme weather – looking for a more stable life and a place to call home.
UNICEF, the global children’s organisation, is telling the stories of refugee and migrant children.
Children are children, no matter where they come from; every child has rights and deserves a fair chance.
Some stories were never meant for children.
