Every day, stories of suffering light up our screens, as new emergencies erupt across the globe. And the world responds, coming together to help those who need it. But after the cameras stop rolling and the world’s attention turns elsewhere, many children remain caught in crises, still in need of our, and your, support.

UNICEF will always be there for children. We make sure they get the help and protection they need before, during and after emergencies.

With the support of people like you, we work to deliver long-term aid strategies, which will make a lasting difference to the lives of children and their families.

A donation of just €21 a month helps provide enough life-saving therapeutic food to reach 21 children suffering from severe acute malnutrition every month.

When you give monthly, you’re standing with children in the face of crisis.
You’re telling them they aren’t alone, they aren’t forgotten, and that they matter.

Help deliver supplies for children in crisis

Every day countless children around the world struggle to survive. Disease and hunger cause the deaths of millions of children each year, but these deaths are preventable. Your monthly donation will be used to protect the world’s most vulnerable children in places like Gaza, Sudan, Syria, Somalia, Yemen and Ukraine.

Malnutrition

At least 181 million children under 5 are living in severe food poverty, which puts them at high risk of stunting, wasting and death.

Sanitation and Water

Unsafe water is responsible for the deaths of more than 1,000 children under 5 every day.

Climate Change

More than half of all children globally – approximately 1 billion – live at extremely high risk from climate hazards.

Why monthly giving matters

Regular donations allow UNICEF to plan for emergencies and invest in longer-term projects which help build a better future for children. Become a monthly donor today and help:

Deliver life-saving aid when emergencies strike. Your donations allow UNICEF to pre-position supplies in areas at risk of natural disaster or conflict.

UNICEF supplies reach children, and their families, within 72 hours of an emergency. Your donations provide children with food, clean water and medicine the moment it’s needed most.

Plan, budget and invest in projects that will enrich and protect the lives of children for generations to come.

In Syria, UNICEF is working to rebuild the country’s water and sewage infrastructure after the devastation caused by recent earthquakes. These projects will ensure that every child will have access to clean water.

Provide children with safe spaces to play, learn, and receive medical care in times of crisis, responding promptly to their needs.

UNICEF delivers over 2 billion life-saving vaccines annually to protect children from diseases like measles, pneumonia, and polio.

UNICEF has been delivering long-term aid for over 78 years, addressing both immediate needs and creating lasting change for children.

Stories from the field

“There was no bread or medicine.”

In Ukraine, Arthur’s daily ration was a glass of water and a fragment of cookie. By the time he and his mother Miranda managed to escape the city, the boy was dying of exhaustion. Arthur has stopped talking and smiling.

He may have survived hunger and the bombing of his home city, but the mental scars will stay with him forever.

“No bullets. One rose for each child.”

These were the powerful words of 10-year-old Majd during a psychosocial session delivered by UNICEF and partners.

Thousands of children were forced out of their homes following conflict that erupted in Sudan. Majd is one of them.

  • Target our upcoming work effectively, with the assurance of having the necessary funds needed to invest in long-term solutions which create a lasting impact for children.
  • Plan humanitarian supplies in areas where emergencies are likely to occur due to climate conditions or political instability.
  • Quickly respond to children’s urgent needs, wherever they may arise.
